I recently had the good fortune to work with Susan and Peter of Montara Creative on an elaborate project for Pets Lifeline, an animal shelter, involving Cirque du Soleil performers, musicians, a slide show and two short films. I have been an auctioneer for seven years now and have done literally hundreds of auctions and have seen many films about different organizations. Their work captured the essence of Pets Lifeline and did so quickly.
What a difference a professional makes as the short film was so well done. Their use of music, camera angles, and masterful editing is the difference between a film and a home movie. Montara Creative also did the slide show for the live auction. I only had to tell them once what I was looking for in the slides and they immediately knew what I wanted and how to do it.
Pets Lifeline requested a short film to show before asking for donations from their patrons. Normally I do the talking for this, as this is what I’m paid to do, but after seeing their film the director and I decided to let the film do the talking; there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and we set a new record for donations!
